Michael R. Frazier wants everyone to be able to read, navigate, and use michaelrfrazier.com, including people who are blind or have low vision, people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and people who navigate with a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, or other assistive technology.

The standard we work toward

This site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most widely used to measure web accessibility. We treat accessibility as part of how the site is built, not as an add-on, and we check new pages and features against that standard before they go live.

What the site does today

Pages are built with real headings, landmarks, and lists, so screen reader users can move through them by section instead of listening from top to bottom. Every meaningful image, including the logos of each venture, has a text description, and purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.

Every link, button, and checkbox works with a keyboard alone, and whichever element has focus is marked with a visible orange outline. A "Skip to main content" link appears as soon as you press Tab, so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the menu. Links that open another website in a new tab say so to screen readers before you follow them.

Text and buttons are set in dark, high-contrast type on white or light grey backgrounds, and text can be enlarged with your browser's zoom without the layout breaking. The Maturity Check announces its result to screen readers each time a box is checked or unchecked. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's one animation is switched off.

The site currently has no audio or video. When recordings are added, such as podcast episodes, masterclass excerpts, or talks, video will include captions and audio will include a written transcript.

Known limitations

This site links to other websites, including Peak Talent Capital Solutions, KAIROS Behavioral Intelligence, Steel Spine, The MIND Foundation, Tee It Up For Kids, and 3088th. Those sites are managed separately, and their accessibility may differ from this one. The full Maturity Check on steelspine.org is one of those separate sites. If you run into a barrier on any of them, let us know and we will help you get what you need another way.
